  1. Elly De La Cruz Declined Franchise-Record Offer From Reds In 2025 January 16th, 2026 at 10:33pm CST • By Anthony Franco The Reds made an unsuccessful effort at locking up Elly De La Cruz last spring. While details were sparse at the time, president of baseball operations Nick Krall revealed today the team made an official offer that would have topped their 10-year, $225MM franchise-record deal with Joey Votto. “We made Elly an offer that would’ve made him the highest-paid Red ever,” Krall said.
  2. These contracts are insane
  3. Agree on all counts
  4. Tucker getting paid like he's prime Barry Bonds Good for him
  5. Massive aav short-term deal opt outs and probably deferrals Yeah there might be a few problems these days
  6. At least for once I'm not the least bit upset with the player Obviously, any player takes that contract
  7. More than Judge Soto and Vladdy
  8. Just bring Bo home I was always OK with that
  9. 4oo MM payroll Lol
  10. Tucker to the Dodgers , huh
  11. OTOH it does make it sound like he knows that final offers are in and a decision by Tucker is imminent
  12. Jewish owner making Catholic Church references in a vague sports related Tweet. When he literally doesn't know what's happening either. Odd indeed.
  13. You're right There's some decent pitching to be available but not nearly a much on the position player side
  14. Some extra details - The Red Sox are going to sign left-hander Ranger Suárez, reports Jon Heyman of The New York Post. It’s a five-year deal worth $130MM, reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today. There are no deferrals and no opt-outs, per Nightengale. The pact does not include a no-trade clause, per Chris Cotillo of MassLive. The Sox have a full 40-man roster and will need to make a corresponding move in order to accommodate the Boras Corporation client.
  15. I still think Cease is the best starting pitcher added to any AL East roster this off season Hope that's true
