  1. He's available after the Mets cleaned house
  2. You know an extension is going to happen Whether you like his decision making or not, the front office and the players seem to love him
  3. Sign the extension before Nov 18 While everyone is still high on the post season vibes and can't wait for another s*** at it together
  4. We really don't have any "holes" on the position player side And we have lots of guys who can play multiple positions If you want to add to the lineup then yes you have to trade for a superstar. That just seems less likely than sticking with the player position core we have and solidifying the starting rotation and back end of the bullpen. Most superstar players are currently either on contending teams that would never trade them (Judge, Ohtani, etc), or are young and under cheap team control for many years so they don't want to trade them either.
  5. Freddie Freeman has probably let this go by now at least. He's doing OK. :) But Lopez, Harris, Acuna, Albies and others must feel like prisoners.
  6. We'll dunk in years that we can, man! LOL
  7. Yeah that didn't work out well for the Braves this year either
  8. 100% And with all the post season $$$ and savings from Green and Bieber they can afford to keep him Bo just needs to want to stay and be willing to move to 2B.
  9. Yeah. With a healthy and productive Santander (and ideally with Bo) it's a much easier lineup to construct 1. Springer (DH or COF) 2. Bichette (2B) 3. Guerrero Jr (1B) 4. Santander (DH or COF) 5. Kirk (C) 6. Barger (COF) 7. Clement (3B) 8. Varsho (CF) 9 Gimenez (SS) Bench: Heineman, Schneider, Straw, and another utility infielder that's not IKF The defense suffers a bit compared to what we had for most of 2025 but that could be one of the deepest lineups in the league. Santander becomes a full time DH after Springer is gone in 2027. For 2026 I want both in the lineup so they both have to play some OF.
  10. Yankees tho? Rightly or wrongly that fanbase wants their current SS punted to the moon And Cashman clearly undervalues defense
  11. He's a California kid so I could guess where he might end up in 2027......
  12. Yes they can qualify him next year because he'll have been with them all season and never qualified before.
  13. Bieber for 16 and Greene off the books is great financially
  14. Yeah they have months to try to work out an extension too. I suspect they'll make a real push for one. But even if they don't, his caliber for 1/16 and the ability to give him a QO next year is beyond great.
  15. I think guys like Bieber, Scherzer and Springer showed the whole league how great it was playing in Toronto this year.
  16. 100% same A dozen teams would happily give him 3-4 years
  17. Royals new deal with Sal Perez 2 years $25MM guarantee, though the deal includes some deferrals. The guarantee includes a $7MM signing bonus.
  18. In the regular season hardly ever anymore
  19. Yeah that would suck Please trade to an NL team
  20. There's no way they're not trying to extend him Deadline for option/opt out decisions is Nov. 6. Though there's no way he's going to take it. It does seem like a piece of business this FO would try to get done as soon as possible. He can't negotiate with anyone but the Jays for 2 more days.
  21. Everyone seemed to love playing here this year That should help with Bassitt/Bo/Biebs
