    Exactly. He has total control over any potential trade and I don't see any likelihood that he would pick/allow Toronto to acquire him. At the end of the world series we might have had some credit. But I'll bet this abysmal first half has probably cost about 80% of the good vibes that were there.

    This will be the Angels 11th losing season in a row If he hasn't left already why would he bother now Edit: I suppose all those years with Ohtani he probably felt they had a chance. And then some loyalty for all the money they threw at him. But the team has done nothing to prove they're trying to win. Maybe he finally realizes that and wants a last hurrah on a contender.
