  1. Zaun finally ripping the hitting approach from yesterday. Says this is the worst bunting team in all of MLB and that the little guys like Izturis and Boni should be able to do it. Well put
  2. And A's starting pitching >>> Jays starting pitching And they get to play tons of games against Houston and Anaheim
  3. Agree Stroman should be planned as a starter If he has the endurance and the rotation is crowded you have a trade chip If he can't cut it, then he's bullpen as plan B:cool:
  4. Yep. Only way that happens is a HUGE winning streak of 9-10 games some time soon. That would make the sustained win % required going forward a bit more achievable.
  5. Bump Someone else (DuckDuckGose) brought up the name - STL Kolten Wong Realistic trade target??? STL could use bullpen help (yet again LOL) and we have an excess of BP arms) http://sports.yahoo.com/news/st-louis-cardinals-pros-cons-keeping-kolten-wong-193200016.html
  6. Good write up on Wong http://sports.yahoo.com/news/st-louis-cardinals-pros-cons-keeping-kolten-wong-193200016.html
  7. True. He was just on fire. .465 OBP IIRC... We could use THAT back at he top of the lineup.
  8. Hey good to see you. Enjoy the new place.
  9. LOL What's your handle on the old bard now?
  10. @nickpiecoro: Brandon McCarthy suffered a seizure on Monday, but says he’s fine & hopes it doesn’t push back his shoulder rehab: http://t.co/qB3ucxs3hv
  11. It was crazy. At the end of April, we had ONE player (Rajai Davis) hitting above the AL mean batting average of .255 It was absolutely unbelievable
  12. Oliver Wagner and Bonifacio
  13. That's a REALLY good bullpen now Santos is all but forgotten. What a waste of $$$
  14. Agree re Oliver He seemed so critical this off season But with the new and improved Cecil, plus Loup, we're all good for LHP in the BP. Trade Oliver and ? To Texas for a useful position player
  15. Yep. If they'd have had their growing pains but managed to play .500 ball in April we'd have a real shot.
  16. I'm all for keeping Colby too. How much will he get in arbitration next year? 6-7M? A cheap 440k Gose in CF, Colbuh in LF, and either Bautista or Melky in right on any given night. That's a versatile OF. Not elite in all areas but a good mix. Having both EE and Lind (who will now obviously have his 2014 option picked up) and the above guys gives you a nice 2-5 in the batting order but a bit of a problem with defensive flexibility. You have one too many every day players but the depth is nice having one of the above on the bench any given day. But if someone gets hurts you can get by so much more easily.
  17. Get Ricky on it right now Plus give him a manliness supplement
  18. If McGowan sticks, who else is kept? Janssen, Cecil, Loup for sure Rogers for now cause he's starting Who else?
  19. Bautista for me today (Sunday)
  20. 6th? Wasn't it: White Alomar Molitor Carter Olerud Most of the time? With Olerud, Molitor and Alomar 1-2-3 in batting title
  21. If,only you could tell when those slumps were starting...
  22. I don't dare let myself get that optimistic about being .500 any time soon
