  1. I'm all for trying it. There are more and better 3B available these days than 2B And I see no problem with him playing there. I think he'll be great at it.

  3. Oh. And he's playing 2B today!
  4. Oops: @RGriffinStar: Omar Infante (ankle) #tigers has been DL'd because of Colby Rasmus slide at RC. Retroactive to July 4 will be eligible after all-star break.
  5. Bautista and predict 2 home runs
  6. So NOW who catches in Buffalo? Jimenez callup?!?!?!
  7. Another brief catcher claim and release (it's like fishing) - MLBTR: Blue Jays Release Ramon Hernandez by Tim Dierkes, Jul 9 at 3:55 PM CST The Blue Jays released catcher Ramon Hernandez, according to a Buffalo Bisons press release. Hernandez was designated for assignment by the Rockies in March, then traded to the Dodgers, and then designated by the Dodgers and released in June. The Blue Jays inked him to a minor league deal, but he appeared in only five games for the Bisons.
  8. He now falls under the umbrella of "very talented, underperforming player with baggage" Some of those types figure things out and go on to have good careers. Some of them crash and burn. Hard.
  9. I know. He looked like the perfect player then. Energy, speed, power. I really hope he gets back there.
  10. Bautista for me tonight
  11. Short TSN piece on Delabar: http://video.tsn.ca/?dl=main/latest/1/0/961360/clip/522
  12. It helps that Casey has a club option for 2014 in his contract: 2 years/$5.9M (2012-13), plus 2014 club option signed extension with Toronto 2/13/12 (avoided arbitration, $2.2M-$1.8M) 12:$2M, 13:$3.9M, 14:$4M club option (no buyout)
  13. Joey Votto is f***ing awesome: http://jeffcrews.wordpress.com/2013/07/04/july-4th-2013/
  14. Nicholson-Smith on signing Bickford: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/coach-bickford-relaxed-as-deadline-nears/
  15. Good question Yes I was, and such variability would be possible, but in the case of the Jays it doesn't seem to matter. Comparing apples to apples (first half of 2012 vs first half of 2013) the amount of increase is the same: First half 2012: 1,224,816 total, 26,626 per game First half 2013: 1,445,173 total, 31,417 per game + 4791 fans per game Source: http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=mlb/teams/040/attendance.aspx?team=040
  16. Of course There is ZERO point in acquiring someone who will only play second half 2013 with us. Anyone acquired needs to fill a need for this season and next at a bare minimum, and preferably longer.
  17. Yeah It's Philadelphia and Tampa who should be worrying I think (Well and maybe Miami but they don't have to sell any tickets to make money with their payroll hahahaha)
  18. Go 2013 Blue Jays!!! LOL
  19. Given: 1. An excess of high quality bullpen arms in the system 2. Major holes elsewhere (2B, C, SP) 3. Teams in contention with money and crappy bullpens (Red Sox, Tigers) It would be insane not to make a move this month
