    For sure. Gose, Lind, Rasmus, Lawrie all seemed to like working with and seemed to benefit from it at various times. Yep. Has to be.

    And JP A lot of guys had slow starts, but Rasmus, Reyes, Edwin, Lind, Davis, DeRosa had good years. Bautista and Lawrie were just so so but there's always going to be guys with off years.

    Balfour easy save. One argument. MLB.com: Grant Balfour picked up the save after a scoreless ninth that included a heated exchange between Balfour and leadoff batter Victor Martinez after a foul ball. Benches cleared and warnings were issued, but there was no further incident. "Just a little competition," Moss said. "Everybody's blood gets going a little bit. Obviously Balfour is a character on the mound, so there's going to be some fireworks. It is what it is." Balfour, likewise, downplayed the incident postgame: "He was staring me down. So I said, 'Why you staring me down? What's your problem right now? You got a problem, come out here.' So he came out. We had a few words. Whatever, no big deal. I like it."

    Yeah, important points. Perennial stud healthy starters are the rarest commodity in the game. There are so few they're actually with the $$$.

    Quite possible. Hard throwers do this sometimes, sometimes with good effect (see Morrow, Brandon) I can't imagine how you could. Best ratio in the AL.

    Yes. Especially first round when there can be 4 games in a day, and they have a single national broadcast for each one. Buck has been one of three voices in the Oakland Detroit series.
