I'll bet he does this series though. There will be a huge spot late in a game at St. Louis, with the pitcher or Salty due up. Farrell will be too tempted and will pinch hit with Napoli or Ortiz. Napoli may have to catch an inning or two.
Edit: Or double switch for their other catcher I suppose
Toughest choice for Farrell - Who plays 1B in St. Louis? Ortiz or Napoli?? Does it depend on opposing pitcher? On defensive needs? It sure hurts not having both in the lineup.
Matheny has it easier. Craig is an easy choice for DH in Boston.
Lots to talk about and would rather have a separate thread instead of relying on around baseball

Best comment, re Fernando Rodney:

“All of these ‘proven closers’ are going to end up way overpaid like they always do. I fear there will need to be another few Brandon Leagues before people start to learn their lesson.”
He's going to have to change that though
There are three complementary ways to put a team together:
Drafting
Trading
Free agent
You can't get by with just one of the above, it's just not possible to assemble a 90 win team that way
If your farm isn't producing, you can't rely purely on trade. You need to use the free agent market for a few players or else you'll always have holes.
