    Googled for Price images and found this tidbit from a little over a year ago. Price nicknamed Giancarlo Stanton "Create a Player" because he said in baseball video games he would create monster power hitters and Stanton reminds him of the guys he would create. Oakland's 3-2 victory over the host Rays, prompted by a fourth-inning solo home run from Brandon Moss and more than a little help by way of two defensive errors from the opposing side, is the club's fifth straight and 11th in its past 12 games. "It's not the easiest way to win a baseball game," Moss said. It is also extremely rare. Since at least 1913, the A's had never done it in a regular-season game, only once accomplishing the feat with a one-hit win in Game 4 of the 1974 American League Championship Series at Baltimore on a Reggie Jackson double. Moreover, Oakland is the first team to win with a home run as its only hit since the White Sox beat the Cardinals that way on June 22, 2006. "One's all you need," a smiling Bob Melvin said.

Arencibia Off 40-Man Roster By Jeff Todd [May 22, 2014 at 7:43am CDT] After originally optioning struggling catcher J.P. Arencibia, the Rangers have outrighted him off of the club’s 40-man roster, according to the PCL transactions page. Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram first reported yesterday via Twitter that Arencibia had cleared outright waivers and been assigned to Triple-A. The 28-year-old Arencibia has continued the decline he showed last year before being non-tendered by the Blue Jays and inking a one-year, $1.8MM deal with Texas. He carries a .133/.182/.233 line through 66 plate appearances this season, with just one home run. While Arencibia struggled to get on base even at his best, his .225/.279/.437 triple-slash (and 41 home runs) over 2011-12 was good for a 91 OPS+. He has been a sub-replacement-level player since.

    Team seems good enough to try and keep one of Rasmus or Cabrera. And I'd rather extend Cabrera for 2-3 years, something I think AA could probably get done.
