  1. LOL after I wrote that he hit a 2 run HR to make it 7-0
  2. Jackie Bradley Jr ain't no Jacoby Ellsbury
  3. CBC story on the topic: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/amid-blue-jays-hot-streak-team-sees-up-and-down-attendance-1.2657261 Current homestand attendance: May 23: 21,007 May 24: 29,372 May 25: 45,277 May 26: 15,616 May 27: 15,993 Source: bluejays.com
  4. To people living in Missisauga - the radio folks have been talking a lot about what a pain it is getting in to the city due to construction on the Gardiner Expressway. Is it bad enough going in in the evening that it would stop people from buying tickets to games??
  5. 31,000 today Averaging 23,500 If they stay hot, it WILL go up
  6. Did you guys hear Gibby in the post game? He was asked about how May felt. He asked how many games they'd won in May. Someone told him 21. He says "well, in 2008... we won 20 games in May and had the best record in baseball. and then they fired me 3 weeks later". The room busted up laughing.
  7. Awesome Hendriks can piggyback Happ if he fails Seems like the best all around choice to me. IF Stroman performs at an acceptable level. Who will he start vs next, St. Louis?
  8. Yeah he is Not sold on Middlebrooks at all but Bogaerts looks legit
  9. We would rapidly tire of Zaun, Tabby, et all telling us what a "big game" player, what a "gamer" and how much of a "playoff winner" Shields is. This would occur daily from July to end of September.
  10. More accurate by a slight margin, yes Though in the stated situation (runners on 1st and 3rd), a single is MUCH better than a walk or HBP and an XBH better still. So, I want a hit. Especially if the are 2 out.
  11. No thanks Pls trade him to NL for prospects that bust
  12. Players who can't handle the "stress" of hitting with RISP probably haven't become every day major league players
  13. In this situation I want the guy who has the best chance of getting a hit On this team, if facing a right handed pitcher, that's Adam Lind (but I'd be good with any of 5-6 other guys in the lineup too)
  14. If you're serious, you should stop now because you look dumn If you're trolling, you should stop now because it's getting old
  15. Sigh. I suppose you're right. Lol
  16. I wish I could give 10 thanks for this useful post
  17. I was worried the layoff after the first inning and the big lead might adversely affect him, but it didn't. Very happy.
  18. Lind is hitting extremely well He has not had as many opportunities to drive in runs as some other guys (Bautista, Lawrie) have had Can we end this thread now?
  19. 99% just chance
  20. Because he happens to have come up with fewer RISP than Francisco and hasn't hit as many home runs. Big deal. He's massacring right handed pitching all the time. Runs come when they come. He couldn't be doing much better...
  21. The 0BB is quite refreshing And he still kept the ball in the yard
  22. Rothesay (Saint John), NB It's been complete s*** weather until like yesterday
  23. Front looks a bit better but not as good as usual for late May Gotta clean up the grass more. yuck
  24. LOL I suppose it is And yeah that is my back hard. Pretty rough spring out east. Hope it looks better in a month or so. I'm not one of those guys that spends hours on the yard, but I know what you mean - has to be kept neat.
