Syndergaard's fastball was dominant (but we already knew that). The breaking balls were a bit sloppy with a hanger or two (we knew that too). Decent appearance.
A ball to third that Izzy probably should have had and a fluke bloop by Jones make this inning look a lot worse than it really was. The only bad pitch he's really made was the one to Davis
Frankly, no one knows. It would make SOME sense though since you see more plays at 2nd than 3rd generally, so the increased defense there could be more valuable if everything else is equal.
I know it's playing matchups, but most of the guys in this pen have the stuff to face anyone regardless of which side of the plate they hit from. Rather see the reliever finish the inning and someone else come in to start next inning (at least with a 4 run lead).
Might be a tad light, but nothing ridiculous. Stating on her blog that she met him and grumbling that he didn't leave a bigger tip would be one thing, but actually posting pictures of the bill and receipt should get her fired imo.
One nice thing about this trade is that it should set the bar high for us if we want to unload a reliever or two - and he didn't go to either of the two teams who have 3rd base prospects we might be interested in and desperately want relievers (Arizona and Detroit)
They are seeing if they can expand their trade/FA options. At some point you have to get a look at Lawrie at 2nd in major league games before deciding whether that is a valid course of action.
