  1. I was really surprised he slid this far.
  2. By that time, your pick will have retired.
  3. I'm surprised people are so high on Beltre, given he's almost 37.
  4. Both pitchers are ridiculously similar, and I don't think you can go wrong with either. Gray's off-speed pitches are better, but his fastball results aren't great. In particular, he walks more than he K's with the fastball. Stroman's results (while fairly sss), are much more consistent across all the pitches except his changeup, which he doesn't use much. That gives him more ways to get guys out, and I would think should result in better performances in the long run.
  5. He was the pitcher I was strongly debating instead of Stroman, and the one I almost selected my last pick rather than a bat. In the end, I like Stroman's stuff a little better which is why I took Stroman. As for taking the bat, I didn't like the idea of only having 2 bats heading into rounds 6 and 7 where things would really start thinning out. I also have Manaea on the farm (and Appel, although I know a lot don't like him), and both should be up sooner rather than later. I just couldn't justify taking that 3rd starting pitcher there. I hope I don't regret it.
  6. I was unbelievably close to taking a pitcher (from another team) instead of Myers too. I even had it typed out, but changed my mind last minute. We'll see if I regret it or not.
  7. There's some guys I didn't expect to still be here that are extremely tempting, but I'm gonna be true to myself and reaffirm my faith in Wil Myers. BB is on the clock.
  8. Thanks, I see it is now.
  9. It would be a big help if we could get the spreadsheet updated
  10. There's still at least 2 who should be worth owning.
  11. That's what happens when you forget to include error handling in your programming.
  12. I like Stroman's stuff slightly better than the other two choices I felt were appropriate here, however, the other ones would have been a little safer I think. Getting to cheer for him extra hard every 5 days is rather nice too.
  13. I think I can get my injury fix later in the draft.
  14. I'm going to make the homer pick and go with Stroman. J4L is up!
  15. Batting average doesn't help either, but he's an excellent pick right now imo.
  16. I think it's just several groups of people with different philosophies. One rips one kind of move, another rips the other. Then there's the third group that waits until they see the direction of the prevailing winds and pile on.
  17. I would have if I gave a f*** about what people thought.
  18. Yeah, but have you linked it to an address you use all the time (like added to the email app in your phone for example), or one you check once a day, etc? A lot of people on here don't trust using their normal email addresses for the fantasy leagues.
  19. If he's going to be your co-manager, you really need to get an actual everyday email address from him where you can quickly get ahold of him. We all know he's inbox challenged.
  20. I'm not sure that kind of pick is egregious at this point in the draft, just risky. I would have thought he could have been had a round or two later if people had a boner for him, but after seeing a few comments, I'm not so sure he would have lasted that long.
