    Australian Four pitch command pitcher that the Twins gave up on. He's on the 40 man so you can bring him up and hope that people hit it at people as he shouldn't walk too many. He's not old (25) and doesn't have a lot of mileage on the arm (he split his time between Aussie Rules Football and baseball as a teen), I don't mind him but he's got a really short leash considering his career 6.00 ERA over 28 MLB starts

    Al Leiter threw 220 pitches in high school and he never had any injury issues...okay bad example

    even their interns make 17% more than the Jays. Pretty sure their F.O. is better paid than the Jays F.O. They hire two or three interns each year. It's posted every year

    Especially when they were .500 through 48 games last year (and dropped back to one game over .500 through 75 games). I If any team in the AL East throws up a 12 wins in 13 games like the Rays did last July, they might walk away with this division. Watching the Jays I have trouble seeing them do it...but then again the Rays games I've watched they haven't inspired any confidence either.

    I would have went with so much value. I valued it a $100M in a value win for Florida at the time of the trade...might be closer to the $200M a certain Rays F.O. employee predicted by the time 6 years are up. Alvarez is looking like a legit number 4. Nicolino will still be in the bigs by September, Disco (great nickname) is pitching tonight. Hech is Hech, showing for short stretches that he's got a bat...but deep down he's all glove, the metrics will show that eventually. Escobar was wasted in a deal...but I might add that the Jays were better off dealing Escobar for Deitrich than going with Izturis and Boni. I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong about Buerhle and his value only being in the innings he pitches.
