Honestly not sure there. Stumbled upon the Mental Conditioning hire purely by fluke. I think what's insane here is that he's already planning hires for Toronto before he starts.

Of note in the Shapiro signing...his first unofficial action is the unofficial hiring of a Sport psychologist (happens to be the person I shadowed at IMG). He'll be based out of Florida and there is talk of hiring another in Toronto. This comes about 5 or 6 months after one of our threads talked about how crazy it was that the Jays and about 20 other clubs do not have a club owned mental conditioning team.

I never stated what that list was for...maybe it was teams I hope leave the pool.

Amazing what a winner Ticketmaster is out of this. $60 in service fees for my 500 level ticket pack. If the Jays end up in the wild card and lose I really paid $180 for the pair. Then multiply this by every team in the playoffs.

no I honestly would have just had him pitching rehab two innings at a time, and finish the season him in the pen in the Bigs. I just don't think I'd bother trying to start him. I'm not giving him low odds of being successful, as I don't doubt anything from that man, but I just don't think the reward is enough. I know it was a knee not an arm but repeating your delivery when rehabbing an injury is so difficult. Having him 100% next April is way more important.

I don't actually know either. Essentially it comes down to him wanting to be in the cool crowd...never got accepted so he was butthurt and used excuses constantly. He likely thought that he'd be missed if he left. He's right he is missed, we was one of the better punching bags. I think I'm breaking some rule by airing it on this thread. So I'll stop posting about him now.
