There are so many layers to this (where were the Padres and Rays when he started drinking, his friends, his teammates...should baseball force rehab for players found to be drunk a certain amount of time) Matt Bush presumably has come out of jail sober, he's doing his part to speak against drinking and driving (read the series from Gabe Kapler) and came back to do something that he really hasn't been doing for a long time (he had under 75 innings pitched in his career before going to jail) and he's come out of jail doing it better than he was before. He can't change the past and he deserved to go to jail...but learning lessons and trying to turn a negative into a positive is what people should be judged by, and sports being the vehicle for this is partially why I love sports.
