  1. are you at the game. You appear to be posting before things happen on my TV? Either that or the feed hits Calgary first.
  2. Saunders making up for yesterday's debacle.
  3. Edwin deserved that called strike three. He went around on the previous
  4. I like aggressive 3B coaches. Situations like this show that you don't need to beat the throw
  5. A guy from Yahoo answered a question about Schwarber Typically in the preseason, when we build out the player pool, we take a look at eligibility updates. It's highly unlikely that Schwarber will carry C eligibility into next year. He doesn't have the required starts this year, and without those, he loses it going into next year. If the Cubs updated his eligibility next year as primarily C, instead of LF, he could potentially get C instead of an OF designation, since he doesn't have enough starts there either. However I don't think that's very likely.
  6. Hutch has not been named as the Sunday Starter for Buffalo. Call up Venditte or one of the other arms today and send him down for a Hutch reliever run until the All Star Break?
  7. Hale move...all Hail Hale!

  9. would be fitting as I have Cody Allen and my fantasy team has a 10 ERA this week
  10. He is available...you'd just be stupid to sign him before he turns 23. It's thought that whoever gets Yuliesky gets Lourdes Jr in the fall. Yuniesky is likely available to play for your Rec team these days. Hope this confused you even more
  11. Sign both Gouriel Brothers. Lourdes Jr. to restock the farm...Yuliesky to play all over the infield. Pushing Barney or Goins out and Smoak to the bench against all lefties.
  12. Poor King...guy has a date and people are ripping him for shirking his BJMB duties.
  13. Is there really a difference between the divisions right now? Central is pretty strong until you get to the Twins. Baltimore (until the final July series against the Jays) and Boston each just have the 1 series against the Rays and Yankees so there really isn't much beating each other up. I'd say the O's have a tough schedule, and Boston has the easiest month (7 against the Angels, 3 Rays, 3 Twins). With that said looking at schedules doesn't mean all that much
  14. This is the first year in probably the last 5 that I have no action on the Indians...so I'm guessing they are winning the AL. I think the Jays, Astros, Red Sox, Royals and O's are in a near tie in the end with the AL East spot and the 2 wild card spots on the line. Other Predictions Most active at the deadline (AL) - KC, White Sox, Red Sox Biggest Seller in the AL - A's...with so few teams out of the hunt they get their prices and they have pending FA's (Reddick, Hill, Crisp, Coghlan, Fuld) and another bunch that are 2017 FA's. Rays may be active but only Pearce is a for sure move.
  15. Did you expect the Pen to never give up a run? Even if you thought the Jays pen would be what it was in the second half last year...that is a 22 run difference (that's actual runs given up not a projection of what they should have given up...so not actually indicative of how the pen actually pitched last year or this year. I think you can easily find 22 runs elsewhere as well.
  16. Trying to imagine an acceptable trade for JD doesn't even seem plausible.
  17. In no way did I say this person say the Front Office would oblige. But I just kind of want to know if JD really is an *******...not that it bothers me at all as I like *******s so much more. It's why I play in this group. The person also said (and now certain people could figure out who this was) that things that Shapiro and Atkins talk about in the media would have got an employee reprimanded under AA. I love that about Shatkins.
  18. Dear person who may work for a MLB front office. A simple thanks will confirm if this third party story I heard is true. I will put it in quotes as it is the way I heard the story "it is pretty much unanimous across the clubhouse that they would rather the front office explore trades for JD, than let Bautista walk...the front office understands as Donaldson is one of the least likeable people in baseball"
