I got Jose Fernandez when it was announced he needed TJS. Sometimes it is the only way for us also rans to get a top end pitcher. But unlike JoFer I suppose we can't treat Reyes as a top end pitcher.

Baseball could learn from Hockey (how scary is that). Hockey is for Everyone month to attempt to get into the non-hockey communities. Using the amazing Soul on Ice documentary to promote it. Soul on Ice just happens to be made by my Junior High school friend Damon Mason. Seriously though even if I didn't grow up with him, I would think it's an amazing documentary.

First mock always is college heavy...then the high schoolers impress over their season. Although the Cape didn't have much for high school standouts this year (Royce Lewis being the exception, although it was with the 18U team not the Cape...he jumps to top two IMO). Everything I read about JJ Schwartz is positive and when you watch him play he looks about 5 to 10 years older than the college guys. Best highlight video guy of the first rounders is Hunter Greene. His defensive plays at short are unreal...and he won't even be drafted as a SS as he's hitting 100 on the gun.

Top of the 2013 and 2014 drafts look pretty ugly now in general. Getting studs like Austin Meadows and Dom Smith out of it is probably the best he could hope for.

Kind of sad that Dinger has guys on his team that make me feel young and yet I don't ever see him losing the division title...Now it's Speedy with the bad news for his team.
