    The narrative that the Jays can't compete in 2018 entertains me. The AL is top heavy with 4 good teams (two of which are susceptible to a big injury) and the 5th spot could realistically be barely above .500. I'm not opposed to a retooling but an assumption that you will get zero from Tulo, Pearce and Travis again just seems like a mistake.

    Archer is very similar to Stroman on Twitter. I would like to take a bet that most of his teammates haven't had much influence on Stroman off the field as they don't see it as a problem, because he's being himself. And Marcus grew up in a 90% white, small town and went to Duke. He likely views culture much differently than CC who grew up in the most culturally diverse neighbourhood in the US.

    I didn't realize that the Cards traded Piscotty to the A's so that he could be closer to his Mom who has ALS. Just a classy org.

    I think Michael Hill is one of the better baseball minds, and considering he's been forced to sell off when Owners want rather than best market...he's done a good job.

    Which is why he is saying he didn't start a rebuild last year. Optics would be horrible and recovering those 20 somethings might be difficult. It really is a tough juggling act for a F.O. I might even offer Donaldson an extension before actively pursuing a trade

    You are overestimating the return on average to slightly above average players. The difference is timing and need more than the extra year of control.

    First of all it was functioning alcoholic...secondly when he was young it wasn't alcohol it was just about fame and acting like a child (dating Serena will mess anyone up). I'd say that he was a lot like how Stro is now. He matured poorly as he hit the bottle when that life wasn't the same.

    This is the only issue I have with it all. Guys in the clubhouse may not have an issue with his tweets, with his emotions showing on field. We have no clue. Emotional men are a little foreign to me, But in no way is it a reason to hate someone. It's not like he's a thug and acting the part. He's being his real personality and he happens to love social media (and needs it to promote his brand). I am going full Team Stro here...may even become an official HDMH merchandiser.
