  1. almost every non-steroid related public snub has been a black or hispanic (especially first ballot snubs). It's the "plays the game right" syndrome...almost every time that is said it seems to be a white boy. PS. I've never voted anything but right in my entire life. I don't let my political beliefs or the colour of my skin cloud my vision on these things.
  2. I met up with those girls the night after the ladies night. One of them was still worked up because someone called her by her name. I'm sure that guys with no standards could have had a field day picking up outside after those. Although I'm finding the number and quality of the female Jays fans has improved considerably from those 2011-12 seasons. It's the Dickey effect
  3. Your jeans mature you though.
  4. I had a co-worker/classmate/friend that was banging him (denying always of course but picking him up at 2:00 am from The Underground, I just doubt he was looking to talk). Do you have a name you could share on a PM?
  5. andreiaraptorsI can’t believe that Ryan Goins is leaving the blue jays, when I found out I started crying, you mean so much to me!! Omg I’m going to miss him so much, I still remember when he first played for the Blue Jays and he was a nobody and getting a poster signed by him. I’m always going to remember when I got to see you in person and I hope I can see you play with your new team!! Now he is starting a new chapter in his baseball life and going to play for an amazing team and his going to make new memories and keep surprising me and others. His going to have a chance to play more and become a better play with his new team! I can go on and on about how much I like him and how much I’m going to miss him play. He always made the blue jays game 110 times better to watch!!! I’m never going to stop watching him play baseball and never stop loving you Ryan Goins, like I said I’m going to really miss you😘❤️ Good luck with your new future!! Love you 😍 #teamryangoins @rgoins2
  6. I hope someone sticks their tongue in it.
  7. I forgot to save the spreadsheet for this league. it's also not ingrained in me to check this page all the time. Message me if there is a cutdown date on the way
  8. number between 1 and 100. I'm on all night (meaning another 30 minutes) tomorrow J4L gets to pick the number
  9. Dirtbag (definition meaning white guy who plays hard). Surprisingly he is just behind Rolen on the Bill James HOF monitor rating (neither close to making it but it's not a measure of who deserves to get in but who hits the traditional criteria). It is amazing how accurate that still is to the voting.
  10. It's funny that we don't even bother to mention that they left the two best players ever out. I'll use this to my platform now to say If you are going to consider Relief Pitcher a position (and I can buy arguments for or against) than Hoffman is among the 3 best ever IMO.
  11. what the argument should be....was never a great bat and lets face it most of the first ballot guys were great bats. The argument against that. Thome made it easily.
  12. Met Chipper twice...both times he was a douchebag. Pretty much makes every D-Bag list out there (may not have been caught cheating in baseball but did on his wife, supported John Rocker, supported the Chop with incredibly racist comments) but he makes first ballot when others are held back because of supposedly not being good people (Alomar comes to mind). No argument that he deserves to be there. Just hate the BBWAA and their moral high ground until it's a good ole' white boy.
  13. Sale gets hurt and they are the Blue Jays. Bryce Brentz is presently projected for 245 PA (and 0.1 fWAR), Moreland shouldn't be hitting lefties, Hanley should be at a point where they are selective to the pitchers he faces...at a minimum you cannot let Hanley get that $22M vesting option at 497 PA. It does improve them enough and they are not a guarantee (IMO) that JD might makes sense for them. I don't like the contract but Boston thinks they are beyond worrying about money
  14. CBS Sports early position rankings (for 5 x 5 single season fantasy) https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/2018-fantasy-baseball-draft-prep-catcher-tiers-1-0/?ftag=SNL-04-10aaa0e&ET_CID=36204&ET_RID=37780211 Seniors Circuit C - next best thing 1B - Last Resort 2B - Near Elite SS - Last Resort & A Leftover 3B - Last Resort & A Leftover OF - Near Elite, Next Best thing, Fallback Option and A Leftover My plans of moving my entire farm to get a top 5 offense failed miserably this off-season as I improved my farm at the hindrance of my offense.
  15. Didn't Wayne Cavadi call Pache the best defensive CF in the minors and probably top 10 in baseball.
  16. I asked J4L to create this thread for 3 reasons. 1. There are people here who don't come on as often and they miss things in the big threads like the prospects thread. 2. It’s easier for quick reference in the future. 3. I’m too lazy to do it myself. I don’t mind new lists being posted here as that is how I found 2080 baseball which became a top source of mine. What I’d like to ask is that we try and keep the comments on this thread to a minimum. Thinking about point 2 lets make it easy to reference lists later. Maybe even use this thread for the midseason updates.
  17. I know he was good in the AFL...but what else did Justus Sheffield do to justify a 50 spot jump? The velocity was down before the AFL where he was clocked at 96. I feel like he's one of those BA guys and they aren't going to let go until he fails in the majors (I have several of them but Max Fried is another from this year that sticks out to me)
  18. Just s*** talking, I'd love Kimbrel but I finally have pitching prospects (2, 26 and Pearson at 91)...I'm going ride those three out I think. Overall BA ranks for my farm were bad considering it's usually where I do much better. 3 pitchers and 2 catchers I may as well not have anyone on the list. 2, 19, 26, 55, 67, 68, 91
  19. The Administration of this board is aware of the issues, however are unable to deal with them at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused any of our membership. Your support here is both valuable and appreciated!
  20. Well onto that Hype Train (had him ahead of Bo and Alford on my Jays top 10). I haven't liked a pitcher this much since Thor
  21. I probably would have moved Rutherford for the 30 waiver spots. He needs those hamstrings to heal or he's never going to develop anywhere near that 60 raw power that has translated to 5 HR's in 600 minor league PAs. I figure I'll have a lot worse regrets by 2021 when this might hurt me.
  22. I'm not sure that is the case with me. Osuna is probably the biggest of my predicted busts that actually became something, and most couldn't have predicted that he'd become a fit guy (which was my knock on him). I just choose not to own pitchers in Fantasy baseball, it's not like I'm wrong on them all.
