  1. likely $10
  2. As the elder statesmen in the DDL I feel I can speak for everyone when I say Connor get the f*** out of our thread!
  3. The kids need to flip just about every stat they have a chance at to stay within striking range of Speedy. Dinger and Sil going full split with saves looking like the only stat Sil can gain. J4L a little too late but helping everyone else (or BTS hurting himself). P2F doing what he needs, should flip K's, if he can get SB's and slugging he could jump into that shot at 5th spot.
  4. He was s***ing on the podcast. A mod deleted his comments and he re-posted them immediately. It's really not the point here...it's two days away from the boards. Got to deal directly with the mod rather than rage quitting the DDL over it. I don't want to see anyone leave the DDL, much less a top contributor like Silvergun but this is not the way to deal with things.
  5. I like the Fred Lewis comp for McKinney. All he needs now is to hit for a cycle and get angry when "that female announcer" calls the cycle overrated. Because he has one but his heroes like Bonds and Mays don't have one.
  6. Finally a game Spanky can win.
  7. I read that they had crossed the southern Alberta but now that I look at the map it's still west of the Rockies though. I was just laughing as this rant was so Toronto centric. I hope they get some solid rain that they need.
  8. And the Phillies are horrible. How did they win so many games this year? I know the answer is brilliant managing but still how.
  9. I can't wait for John to go through his rant of "f***ing fires are burning down my house". But it's okay it won't take away from important rants like people walking slowly down sidewalks. PS. if they are holding hands taking up the entire sidewalk, playing red rover is the appropriate way to get by.
  10. And if you don't have a situation where there is a low leverage spot? In the minors you can have him do exactly what you want him working on and pitch him as often as you want. He never commanded the fastball well, but now it's being hit hard too. Maybe there is nothing wrong, but likely there is something they want him working on. It's a lot like the situation the Astros faced with Giles last year in the playoffs. You know he's better than the options over long term...but if he's not better that day it doesn't matter.
  11. Nice intro...you guys truly are the Brandon McKinney of podcasts.
  12. He's also given up runs in 8 of his last 15 and can't get righties out. They are sending him down for 7 days and it's making room for a better pitcher in Soria. Who should they send down? Albers doesn't have options and drops to like the 7th/out of the game option. Burnes, Williams are fine options for the role that Knebel would have with Soria back. Your reaction is over the top for the 2 appearances max where Knebel (who's been like the 5th or 6th best pitcher) would have appeared.
  13. Duquette's interviews on MLB radio recently have been pretty interesting. Talking about how the ownership and Front Office have admitted that they are years behind in staffing, systems and of course international scouting/spending. And more importantly they have committed to provide the funds needed to get caught up. Duquette did make it sound like he'd still be part of the future though, which is unexpected. I love watching the O's fail and it looks like they will do so for the next while but it should be interesting to watch and see how they can work with a clean state and starting with virtually nothing (the first overall pick, by all accounts Bobby Witt Jr, is probably your best asset and KC is trying hard to f*** that up for you).
  14. Your accounts come up surprisingly clean.
  15. Kopech was one of the 42 that I informed of the homophobic tweets ( i sent it to three emails i found for the Sox.) I did not take screen shots.
  16. That's a managers way of saying he's underrated (which he is...in Fantasy and real life). He is the best hitter on the A's and top 10 in the AL. Melvin has a mathematics degree from Berkeley and has been praised for his ability to explain the front office and educate the players and coaches on advanced metrics I understand that statements like the one he made has old school implications (in 2004 statements about Davis would be something like "he needs to get his average up to be considered for MVP") but you can't assume that every old person is ignorant to advanced stats.
  17. Boston being so safe in a playoff spot is hurting me. Sale won't be back on Sunday now. No Sale, no Bauer, no Samardzija, No Vizcaino, no Darvish (all year). Sucks to be stuck with just Gray & Verlander.
  18. I'll jump in...same as Dinger. I want a full dispersal draft.
  19. Sept 5th to the end of the season...all AL East.
  20. Seranthony blew another. Got Harper and Rendon, then a Soto double 2 run shot for Zim
  21. Among my best DDL acquisitions. I think my best trades in that league are so much better than my worst (I think I gave away Devers for a pick or Waiver and my second worst I made up for by flipping Hosmer for Suarez, Simmons and Nate Pearson) hard to believe my team is still bad
  22. Life threatening elbow injury
  23. Kopech easy
  24. Yep. Like I said ... gut feel
