  1. Jason Zucker just so I can aptly name my team Zucker in the Aho
  2. Apparently you have to tell people that it is a qawwali concert and not Bollywood or they f***ing riot. I thought soccer players were difficult to deal with. This was insane. Got to hear Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sing some Qawwali though. If you are confused...welcome to my evening. Is it my pick?
  3. I can't resist a young Aho
  4. He was my next pick too. I'll take Guentzel.
  5. f*** Barzal i'm taking Gibson. P2f***up is up (f***up being P2F's partner)
  6. Every year there is a Waiver draft for your last 5 players. Those are the Waiver picks which are in our draft too. So you have to take NHL players, Prospects, draft picks and waiver picks during this dispersal draft. There is no order for this. At some point you have to decide which asset you covet the most the player or the pick.
  7. Tarasenko
  8. There are two cases in which it would have to be a PTBNL. If the player was on the 40 man or was a 2018 draftee (which is why I believed the Noah Naylor rumour despite it seeming like far too much). Atkins comment seems to mean that it is a player on the 40 man.
  9. That's too bad. I had a guy who works not for the Jays, but in the Jays office saying that it was going to be Noah Naylor if JD played in season and playoffs and the $2.7M was to cover Naylor's signing bonus. Never listen to Stats guys.
  10. Jays are sending $2.7 to the Indians. Wonder what the significance of that number is. Maple Boner alert
  11. He is saying that they didn't value the pick higher than the $1m and the player they intend to get. Not to mention the additional time and PR effort
  12. His real name is Oluwademilade Oluwadamilola Orimoloye
  13. I'd prefer to hit my A's bet though.
  14. Likely I'm wrong about faking the injury. Just seems insane that he's pissed at the org, has so much money on the line and can only make it back exactly on the day that will allow him to get moved. I'm not wrong about this not being first front office he has clashed with though.
  15. The Demi God, the Triple O comes home
  16. That was my question. I don't know the rule if they can trade a player on the 40 after the season as a PTBNL without them clearing waivers. Seems like it would be breaking the rules but some rules can be bent.
  17. Wonder if that means it could be a guy on the 40 then.
  18. I know he has a history of trying to force GM's hands (Beane & AA). I don't believe that he faked an injury all year...but they had to force him on to the field this week to make him eligible. I am sure they didn't handle it as well as they could (trading him prior to the deadline would have been the best for the return as it stands) but when they held on knowing that they wanted to trade him in August, I really believe he made sure that his value didn't increase. If he comes to Cleveland showing no ill effects I'll believe it to be true.
  19. I honestly just believe that he faked it in the past few weeks. This is a guy who you couldn't keep from the field in the past. Suddenly they have to force him to start rehab.
  20. They upset Donaldson by telling him that a 2 or 3 year extension is all they would discuss....Donaldson upset them by telling how to do their job and faked a f***ing injury so they couldn't trade him for top value. Same as he did to Beane. There is zero leverage here. No one claimed him, Yankees wouldn't deal unless the Jays threw in 100% of the salary. I bet he kills it for Cleveland as he wasn't really hurt. I am liking the $20 I put on them last month now.
  21. Demi Orimoloye???? Phil Bickford would be hilarious
  22. I assume the Yankees. Makes a lot of sense as they wanted the Jays to throw all the money in on a Donaldson deal to keep them under the luxury tax number. Grandy would be the consolation prize.
  23. The 70 to 100 draft pick is valued under the $3.9M saved so unless the Jays are kicking in money I suspect you will not be pleased.
  24. hockey crowd.
