  1. I think Mid-Season makes sense unless he has setbacks defensively. I don't think they will give him the Vlad treatment and make him wait until May 2020.
  2. Fake Kenny's were all the craze in 2016. This one is not well done though https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal11
  3. My early cuts are: Billy Hamilton (new home in KC might steal 100), Addison Russell (might impregnate 100) Chance Sisco (at least he'll always have the Thong Song) Jordan Lyles (this one hurts as he has Starter eligibility and great numbers as a reliever...add in that he's a Pirate and 28 it seems like I'm making a big mistake) Ryne Stanek (live and die by the numbers alone...as an Opener he won't get wins, holds or saves) Jacob Nix (Remember how your parent felt when they watched you suck at a sport? That's how I feel with JNix) Josh Fields (He's in LA) Brandon Finnegan (Hopefully on his way to becoming a LH Reliever) Needs Assessment C improvement on Sal Perez 1B (BIGGEST NEED) OF improvement on Max Kepler SP I wish I had a plan for SP's. But I don't so I probably am not actually in on the SP market, but if one falls on me I might try them out. Farm - it's s*** I know it. Available - Absolutely 100% on the block is New Nat Brian Dozier. I have Yuli and Adames with 2B eligibility. I'll throw Mikael Franco on there too. Thor is not on the block. Any of the relievers (Lugo, Miller, Davis, Bradley, Allen, Wilson) plus of course all of my potential drops from above.
  4. 1 year $8.5M with up to $2.5M in incentives. No option year
  5. Toronto Sports Media has been around for quite a while now. Don't know why they write about Toronto while living in Boston and Seattle though
  6. Astros and Rays are making positions meaningless. On top of Marwin, Yuli has 1B, 2B, 3B, Bregman has SS now, Tyler White played every position in AAA. I'm sure there are others.
  7. I just don't picture Rolen ever getting that crowd backing to give him a push. Shame though, one of the most consistent players. Everyone that's getting votes now I can at least somewhat understand.
  8. I hate updates when most of the players aren't playing. Just wait until the NCAA and High School seasons are in full swing.
  9. Did something happen which drew this comment? Or just random thoughts
  10. and you used it to hit on Patrick Murphy's Mom?
  11. I can see the NL being similar to last year where no team hovering near .500 are out of it
  12. all they needed was Bret Sayre to be in charge now the ship is on course.
  13. Jays spects throwin' shade at Murray.
  14. He's playing the Pan Am games qualifiers with his bro and there are reports that they are actually having fun. Completely new look for him. Should be interesting to see him in Spring if he makes it there.
  15. Would you give up say 5 and 8 for Soto? Knowing you won't pick again until 17. I would struggle with that
  16. Jolanlingelbach, please confirm you can post.
  17. Is this because Russell is black? Racist!
  18. Admin forgot to hit save. It's fixed now. Hopefully BTS or I get access to this stuff someday. Although that has been removed.
  19. I got a message on 2:35 January 11th saying he was good to go. I'll look into it in a few.
  20. You hear all the positives about AA's progress towards analytics...then he reunites with the man that pushed the Marlins trade and said (paraphrasing) "these calculator guys need to get on the field and play before they get heard around here"
  21. is it bad that I don't remember that one.
  22. First of all $3.6M is still an okay savings (and is the job of the front office). The free'd up spot is still something. Also the appearance that you will do the right thing for veteran players is still something. There is so much more than just the return itself.
  23. They are starting planning on re-doing the inside of the stadium. Judging by what was done in Cleveland; the Carter Homerun will be part of that. I don't want to see a bunch of statues around the outside though. Plus I like group statues. Have WAMCO instead of Carter on his own. Then Moseby, Barfield and Bell (one of the top 20 OF's of all time and the Jays best). Stieb and his ego, Bautista and his bat flip, Donaldson and his refusing to do his rehab. So many potential memories. But put them around the stadium. We've seen concrete walls for too long.
  24. A small sample from the Jays FB group What is this front office doing? Other than gutting the team.
