  1. I don't care. We don't need another opinion thread. When he has something to back up his theories he gets his own thread on the subject. Not to mention he's either basing system wide problems on individual incidents or small sample sizes. Or he's in a very Olerud way making fun of those who are freaking out, which may be the case but still not worth it's own thread. I have lots of theories on things. I find a spot for them in existing threads unless i have actual facts to back me up.
  2. I'm ignoring the except for Franco part. Bauer for Franco?
  3. No one drafts in the MLB based on needs. Someone like Driveline needs to set up the equivalent of the combine for high school draft prospects. Data driven, televised on MLB Network and sponsored through the ass to be highly profitable.
  4. Seriously I don't care enough about this and no manager can a team hundreds of runs. If they could they would be paid more. If you have something that is beyond speculation start your own thread.
  5. Corey Kluber has a fracture in his right arm.
  6. for boxy. Your boy has a personality. I hate the f***ing Mets
  7. Also like to note once again...same agent as Albies. No website for the company or anything. Got to figure he's part of a criminal organization who forced clients to sign with him.
  8. Rays putting up a 2.04 ERA from their starters helps, and the O's starters were Horrible but their relievers were worse in the same number of innings. I can't extract monthly data for past years from Fangraphs. I can tell you that in April Starters had 4623 innings pitched and relievers were 3140 for a 55/45 split. In 2010 it was a 67/33 split and I'm sure if you go back 40 years it's closer to 75/25
  9. Not sure if this was posted but it's worth a discussion if not. For the first time in like 50 years have starters posted a lower ERA than relievers in a month. 4.34 for starters and 4.39 for relievers.
  10. All people who do bad things should be forced to go to Iowa
  11. Sorry no room on that bandwagon
  12. actually it was Avila that made the comp by saying Mize is more advanced than Verlander at this point in his life. He actually said that his secondary pitches are more advanced but it's fun to throw this on someone else. I actually believe that Mize is going to be a number 1 and tried to pursue him in one of our leagues this off season.
  13. The great news is that I'm now projected to hit 10 HR's if I played in AAA
  14. For a nice comp in Erie 2005 just before his major league call-up 32.1 IP 1 ER 7 BB 32 K 2005 Justin Verlander. I LOL that you LOL at a guy with 7 hits against in 35 innings, who has a 16-1 K-BB ratio because he has a 8.22 k/9 in the minors.
  15. Casey Mize 35 IP 7 hits 2 BB 32 K 1 run has something to say.
  16. His prick factor is on an all time high too (which is probably a good sign that he's healthy).
  17. The data on Vlad isn't good enough yet but his recorded sprint speed is 26.4 feet/sec and Hansen's was tied for 111th last year at 28.4 (he is down in a small sample this year). That's more than a 6 foot difference based on sprint speed. There are other things like leadoff and reading off the bat but those of you that are saying Vlad is just as fast as Hansen are blinded. If it's a wash defensively and you think you gain about 6 feet each base, it's a move you should always do. Thinking about Vlad's AB 9 batters away while in the 10th inning is just a non factor.
  18. I suggest you wait until Montoyo gives Vlad a rest day before starting the Fire Charlie thread though. It will happen and it will happen probably more often than anyone wants.
  19. And I'm back to middle of the pack. Stupid pool
  20. They switched him and Machado back and forth depending on the batter and Manny (at short) went into the hole to end that past inning.
  21. Tatis Jr. hurt too. No updates on him or Yelich. In that game 3 Nats under the age of 22 hit HR's. First time ever I believe. groins aren't meant to do this.
  22. yep. this is why I shouldn't do things by memory when I can't even remember what I had for breakfast. Twins 08
  23. I have it as Tigers 02. But my memory is not what it once was.
  24. I think they are done with Oakland for the year though. Trivia time...when was the last time the Jays went undefeated against an AL team?
  25. Nice win. Elvis' first of his career. 0.00 ERA for the game. 12.13 FIP. Proven FIP beater
