    Maybe the Mets are about to acquire Tulo and one of the stipulations of the trade was that they had to sign Cuddyer too, earning the Rockies a pick.

    The DDL will persist because of the quality of its members. It's just a time issue at present, hard to be engaged in too many things with the LOD MiLB draft going on.

    Yeah it is pretty long... but IMO the extra five minutes are worth it, since it makes the offseason so much more interested. When it's announced that Brett Anderson has signed with the Mystery Team, you guys will be on the edge of your seats refreshing Twitter every 17 seconds to see if you make the right call. I got everyone from Michael Cuddyer on. You can submit the form until then too if you want, and remember to include your BJMB name in the first question. -- Thanks everyone!

    Honestly, since we found out that Jeff Luhnow wanted Giolito for Lucas Harrell, it's been hard for me to see any trade ask as embarrassing. Maybe AA thought there was a chance the Orioles didn't value Pierce properly.

    Ichiro has been a well-below-average offensive player for the past four seasons... and now he's 41. Guy should have retired in 2011. And he apparently sticks to himself, wouldn't be the type of veteran influence that Mark DeRosa or Raul Ibanez are.

    Yes and he's going to get it. Beltran got 3/45 last offseason being eight months older than Martinez is now and coming off a substantially inferior season. Beltran supposedly had suitors other than the Yankees who were willing to go to three years as well.

    Not a crazy ask in my opinion, I think some team could give it to him. I predicted five years in the contest.

    Unless Melky gives the Blue Jays a big discount it seems much more sensible to take the comp pick and sign Markakis and a pitcher (McCarthy?) instead. As much as people (I've heard a lot of this from the media) want to think he's the key to the lineup, he's ultimately replaceable and shouldn't be pursued at all costs.
