    strike zone was big enough to drive a bus through for 4 innings and by the end of the game you could force you butt on the plate and not be able to take a dump into the strike zone.

    there are HRs to be had if the Jays can start making contact. Hardy definitely thought he missed that pitch. He was way out in front and got it out with nothing but hands. ball is carrying! come on offense!

    if the ump calls you out on a ball 3" off the plate it's on him, if the pitch is closer you have to be protecting. Smoak whinging about a pitch right on the edge is just irritating. at least try to cover the pitch instead of whining.

    I like the fact that Gibbons is riding Martin's hot bat. I just hope he can adjust if that changes. I'm with JFD. the only mistake is Smoak being in the lineup instead of Navarro. Maybe Ed needs a night at DH. that would make sense. He's played a lot of first. Maybe Smoak can build off his last couple of hits.

    if you hit your shittiest guys 8,9 then you almost guarantee that Jose never comes up with anyone on base. just saying...

    I do understand the mentality Travis hitting ninth. He gets on base well and that's a good reason to have him hit first, but that might take 1 AB away from Jose, JD or EE and you want your best hitters to get as many AB as possible. Martin is on a tear so that's fine. then you go to Travis 9th because there is a good chance he is on base when those top 3 come up without taking away one of their AB

    if Gibbons ever lets guys run this would be a point, but he won't let anyone steal in front of the big bats so the argument is moot

    I'll agree with this. I'd rather have Ed at first and Pikachu DH who knows, maybe Smoak can walk into a hit or two.

    I watch most games with the news audio and game on mute. makes it much less annoying
