Thanks to the wonderful work of JFaS, we've established that there is, indeed, a Dickey effect on hitters that face a normal pitcher after facing R.A. Dickey. But, obviously, this effect is cancelled out when Dickey pitches the last game of a series. I read that Dickey was starting Game 4 and I thought, huh, he's been pitching the last game of a series quite a bit. So I took a look in his fangraphs game log...
04-07 Red Sox @ Blue Jays

05-09 Blue Jays @ Rays
And he'll be pitching the last game of the Braves series, as well. Including that game, that will be 5 of his 12 starts being the last game of a series, which is a fairly sizable amount- 41.6%.
It would probably have a marginal effect on wins, but we need all the help we can get. What do you guys think?
