LgAvg SP WAR/200 = 2.3ish. At ~9.5m/WAR, with him at $18m next year, if Buehrle was a league average pitcher, he'd be providing roughly $3.85m of surplus value. And Buehrle was a slightly above average pitcher at 2.5 fWAR (2.4 RA9-WAR if that's how you swing).

Frag, just want to say great work with all of this, it's really something else. I don't understand most of hockey stats and I'm probably still at the rudimentary point of understanding where I probably cherry pick my stats but on the long weekend I'd like to spend a few hours just teaching myself the stats and I'll definitely be teaching myself that one, great work man.
