We don't have an SS coming up, though. Unfortunately now would be a great time to have Trea Turner, lol. Idk we could just take Clint Barmes back in the trade from San Diego as a short term option. Cliff Pennington could be another really good stopgap option, BreakingBlue's xSeries have him as a 117 wRC+ guy YTD (quite the difference), he'd cost absolutely nothing. But really no long term options at SS unless we bought Ian Desmond or Mike Aviles or something gross.

This is basically what I was going to post. If we go by the updated prospect value, pitchers ranked 11-25 are worth about $24.5m. If Preller thinks Sanchez is a top 25 prospect (which is where he was on lists fwiw) then yeah he'd cover it. However in reality it'd probably be Reyes+Norris/Hoffman+something for Shields+Kimbrel. Still kinda enticing, tbh.

If he wants a lot of money that's ok but if he wants a franchise QB contract then I'd probably see what kind of big return I could get for him in a trade. WR are so overrated. Bills could've dealt Robert Woods for McCoy and chose Kiko.
