  1. Agree. We can argue if Jimenez should have come in or not all day, but even if with him in, Buck had a chance to bring in a reliever that has possibly had the best season in the history of baseball, to try and save the game, and he didn't. If anyone in baseball could have got out of that jam, it would have been Britton. And how you even kept him in there for that long when you see absolutely no movement on his pitches, that's another issue. There were three terrible mistakes there. 1. Not using Britton. 2. Not bringing Britton in when you saw Jimenez was throwing batting practice. 3. Not bringing Britton in when your only chance to save yourself is if you bring in Britton.
  2. That's the s***** thing about playoffs for us, our deep starting pitching depth doesn't mean much. If you have two great pitchers you should be okay.
  3. Wow I neve realized out side of those two, their rotation is terrible. As if they've won that many games with only two good pitchers.
  4. I'm just glad we get the chance to play another series. Would have been so s***** if the season was done after tonight.
  5. Unreal. We'd be losing our s*** right now. And I thought there was no one worse than Gibbons.
  6. That is true. But after that it was clear he simply didn't have it.
  7. Also not sure how he wouldn't have brought him in after that. And at the very least winning runner on third. You have the best reliever in baseball sitting there who very well could have gotten out of that jam.
  8. Buck should have taken Jimenez out after the first batter. He was throwing batting practice from the first pitch.
  9. You know Gibby though, if Stroman is even someone 'okay' he will keep putting him in there until he's over his head. I just feel Liriano is the better option. Not that Stroman is bad, I just feel Liriano has been been more consistent already, and has already shut down the O's. The guy has a low 2 ERA in his last eight appearances with a low walk rate. I'm sure Stroman will be fine though. I'm probably over reacting a bit!
  10. I'll be happy to be proven wrong. But there's a reason 81.5% of us would like to see Liriano out there. I really haven't see any reasons backing Stroman other than "he's our guy, he's been here all year."
  11. Except Liriano hasn't been eaten alive three times this year vs Baltimore. That's the whole f***ing point of this discussion.
  12. Yes, you take any advantage you can f***ing get. If multiple guys are hitting around .500 against Stroman even in limited atbats, that's a big f***ing deal to me. I know you're trying hard to defend the decision, but this is getting stupid.
  13. Say Stroman gives up four runs in the first two innings and this abysmal offense has to try and come back. What a silly thing to say. I'm worried he doesn't make it two times through the lineup.
  14. And one of the reason Atkins said we went with Stroman was the "matchups". Really? What a f***ing joke. If he bombs whoever made the decision should be fired.
  15. I wouldn't say four starts in ONE season is incredibly small. They've seen the guy four times. That's quite a bit to know what to expect. I mean they've hit him pretty good the past few times. Add the fact O's aren't good vs lefties, I don't see how you not go with Liriano. I'm hoping the Jays are trolling the O's and come gameday Liriano starts
  16. Four starts in a season is a big enough sample size for me to know I don't want to see a fifth outing.
  17. Unreal. I called it, said they would give it to Stroman because "he's our guy". I just hope we all eat our words and he dominates. But there is nothing in his outings vs the O's that says otherwise. Not to mention how poor Orioles are vs lefties.
  18. He's a minor upgrade over Thole. But yeah, that's the only time he should be used, like you mentioned. Upton was obviously more disappointing than we expected. We were one game back at the time. How do you not make a cheap upgrade in that area.
  19. That's exactly what I could hear him saying.
  20. I'll say this again. There should be no excuses as to why this team's pinch hit option is ever Navarro. The Orioles got Pearce for almost nothing. Should have bene able to find someone that could hit over .200.
  21. I vote Liriano but I bet it's Stroman.
  22. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/6823-Liriano-or-Stroman New poll.
  23. Who do you give the ball to? New poll since Sanchez just pitched.2
  24. If Pat Tabler had a vote, David Ortiz would get it. Shows you how f***ing stupid some of these people are.
  25. They aren't joking. They're probably just tired of him always around and now especially interupting the celebration.
