    f***ing joke. Called it from the beginning of the season, he's f***ing terrible. We win, you ignore the stupid mistakes he makes. But when we lose, you notice even more how terrible he is. f***ing embarrasing how this guy can have a job. I don't care if you win, he's makes mistakes little league coaches wouldn't make. If I was Atkins, and Gibbons put Navarro in as DH and cleanup, I would have fired him that night.

    Fair point. But I still think Tulo has more value despite the past two seasons. Not to mention the way he's played since coming back.

    I can't imagine too many GMs in baseball would prefer Upton over Tulo.

    That's good and all but how many GMs use common sense? Not many. You're going to tell me Justin Upton is going to get 6years at $22M but Tulo, a consistent 5WAR player can't get anything close?

    I think some team would be willing to overpay him based on his past. *edit* After looking at his contract it's not as bad as I thought. I thought it was heavily backloaded. I think he would probably get around what he is owed.

    Yep $17M next year then 1 year arb. I'm sure he'll get $25M+ for 6 years.

    Tough to say. Probably not the best comparison as he probably gives a hometown discount but Ortiz gets $16M per. Bautista is coming off a pretty poor season full of injuries. That being said he's only one year removed from a 40HR season. I'm sure you could pencil him in for 30-35HR, maybe more if healthy. I bet someone will give a three year deal out there.

    All in all turned out well by both sides. Imagine it was Odor or KC, would have been a brawl and someone from the Jays would have been hit today.

    Our rotation is damn good, but the rest of the roster needs a reboot. If we didn't have Happ, Stroman, Sanchez, it would almost be a good time to rebuild. We have an aging Tulo, Bau, EE, Martin, and one year left of Donaldson. Very small window to compete with this roster. If we didn't have a chance to win over the next couple years I'd dump them all for a retooling of near ready prospects. Offer Bau and EE QO, trade Tulo and eat contract, same with Martin, move Grilli. Then either give Donaldson a massive contract and make him franchise player, or trade him for a massive haul.

    I would do that, even $50M. I think his ego is too big and he thinks he's worth $25M per though. I would not give Saunders a QO. He's been terrible lately.

    What's Jose even worth anymore? Best case scenario 3.5WAR next year as DH? He'll be turning 38 next year. 8WAR over the next years is probably realistic.
