Most of this is what you would expect.  One thing that stood out to me was the comment Ross referencing Ernie Clement and the need to load manage playing time.  My read into this is that they will be aggressive going after a second basemen/infielder.  Also the mention of resources (financial) by Shapiro that will be available and that they will make an "impactful" change.

Why ask a question about a player under contract to another team when ya know it would be tampering to answer with any specifics?

That's mickey mouse crap.

Also, asking about specific coaches by name with the intent of trying to get a GM to say something about how they might be fired ... tactless and bush league. 

Manager is fair game to ask about though. That's part of the gig.

Besides Ross said they're going to review "everything" and Popkins would fall under that. Just because he didn't pre-throw anyone under the bus doesn't mean jack.
