Pearson can be an elite pitcher if he can elevate his fastball at the top or above the zone more often. That with his off speed pitch will make him every bit as effective as Romano

Sounds good. We could use Goldy to push Vladdy to the bench as the primary RH pinch hitter. Maybe some platoon AB's at DH too.

 

The Jays obviously have no need to keep high end pitching prospects like Tiedemann.

Trade deadline come and gone now. I am glad we did not reaquire Teoscar. Everybody seems to like to say the name but his ability is not what this team needs this year. He has a good, not great bat. He is just average fielder, at best.

I didn't want to add to this thread. However, Pearson lacks control. Control in general, not just being able to elevate his fastball.

 

Hence he is a middle relief type guy and on the cusp of getting DFA.
