Speed is a big part of his game. Age is tough on that. His stats are puffed up because he has been raking at an unsustainable level. I don't expect this to continue. Not against a deal for him. Valuable piece and good player. Not anywhere close to 3/45 though.

Yeah, he is a spry 35 year old. Chances of injury (plus increased recovery time as you age doesn't bode well either. However, if they keep him out of the outfield, play him at second and he spells Vladdy at first and gets his dh days, a two year deal may work.

Would be huge if Green can be that guy..but honestly I think they need Green + 1 more.

It's just facts man lol. Remember he was a player that didn't want to get vaccinated originally. Couldn't play in Toronto early in the Season just last year.

 

I would love to have him back on a cheap deal. But with the infield prospects the Jays have coming and his desire to probably both get a good deal for himself and considering his family which he talked about quite a bit. I don't see the fit long term.

Would love to just have one more swing a miss reliever to the mix. Late inning guy with experiance. Yea Green could potentially be part of the solution. But coming off an injury we really don't know if were getting the Yankees version of Chad Green. He could be next year but this year could hit or miss.
