Switching back and forth with Rays game. Hicks looks worse than the worst of LGJ in LF. Lots of hard contact off of Montas. Rays can't lose. Unreal. 4-0 Rays. And yes. Enough Tapia closing in on 400 PAs.

Ya this coming 5-set is going to be something.

The AL east was there for the taking, I knew the yanks weee going to regress. Too bad the jays never played a little better

I'm amazed how satisfied most Jays fans seem to be with clinging to the last wildcard for this team. When this season started I expected Division winners. At least home wildcard. It's no wonder the Leafs haven't won a Cup since I was 2 and fans were happy they didn't get wiped out embarrassed in the playoffs last year. Next year! (Yes. Not over yet)

No Toronto franchise has ever done anything for that kind of entitlement though - "We must win else the season is a failure."

We've had our highs and our lows and as a city, we take it in stride.

Leafs fans evolved into a different breed of fandom 'cause of all that has happened since forever but Raps/Jays fandom (unless you are a diehard fan) are fine coasting/positive progress

I lived the 86 through 93 period. Used to go to games when in Toronto in lean years. Halliday and Clemens pitching in front of 10000 or less. Delgado hitting bombs for nobody. Depressing. 15 and 16 was the reemergence as a real team/franchise again coast to coast and we got a taste twice of 2 league championships. I'm now impatient and jonsing for that 92 and 93 high.

Haha ya, I was getting into the game post Delgado Era - Doc/Wells/Hill/Johnny Mac/Glaus/Rolen/Thomas etc, that era was my first actual investment in Jays

And then I was not in the country for the 2014-2016 run, so missed that too.

Hoping this time around, it goes far and I can be close to the celebrations

I just saw the Hick play in left field. OMG that was horrid. What was he thinking?

Lol. It was like Teo and LGJ joined to become one at their worst moments = Hicks tonight.

In 97 I went to almost every game Clemens pitched at home. I don't ever remember seeing less than 25K in attendance. Less than 10000, never.

The dream years

When Tapia is in the batters box with runners in scoring position and you see him knock his skinny elbows together, your best course of action is the intentional walk.:P

He was here 2 years and I'm not going to go back and check attendance. I don't remember it that way but ill take your word for it. Suffice to say my point is that It was a pretty f***ing depressing drought between 93 and 2015.

Espinal is absolutely no threat vs RHP. Easy decision to pitch around Tapia even though he sucks as well
