gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Ryu should at least be able to pitch as many pitches as his jersey number Yup, but their trying to manage his workload down the stretch.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Look who's coming up, and it would be their 3rd time facing him today.. that's why. Avoiding 3rd time through the lineup is great when you have a good bullpen but ours is clearly TRASH. Ryu should be back our there at least until he allows 1 base runner.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 I'm ok with taking Ryu out. Let's hope the pen holds them.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 80 pitches, 3 hit SO 0BB's and 6 K's... take em out, I have no f***ING words???
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Yup, but their trying to manage his workload down the stretch. True but burning through 3 relievers today also concerns me. Jays go to the bullpen before the Yankees..
InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Why are we taxing the bullpen when we don't know what we will get from Matz tmrw?
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Avoiding the 3rd time through the lineup is great when you have a good bullpen but ours is clearly TRASH Yet you would still be complaining if Ryu went out for the 7th & gave up a 2-run shot to Stanton.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Always nice to see Chuckles take out his ace, who is dealing, only at 80 pitches, for a reliever to come in and start missing the zone with everything
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 80 pitches, 3 hit SO 0BB's and 6 K's... take em out, I have no f***ING words??? Modern day baseball bro..
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Why are we taxing the bullpen when we don't know what we will get from Matz tmrw? Thought you'd been introduced to Morontoyo already.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Gutsy 3-2 change up from Richards to Judge.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Yet you would still be complaining if Ryu went out for the 7th & gave up a 2-run shot to Stanton. No I wouldn't. I have said all year that we should be rolling with our starters who have done great all year. If you haven't noticed, our bullpen has been beyond bad...
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 I get the LHP and RHH and 3rd time through with who was up, but Ryu was dealing. At 80 pitches. I would have rolled with the Korean with a 3-0 lead. Let’s hope this pen can hold up and get the 8 more outs we need.
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 No I wouldn't. I have said all year that we should be rolling with our starters who have done great all year. If you haven't noticed, our bullpen has been beyond bad... "Rolling with our starters"? What does that mean?
infinitebook Verified Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Imagine if Halladay was dealing and got taken out after 6 when hes throwing a shut out, things have really changed.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 "Rolling with our starters"? What does that mean? Keeping the start in the game until he shows signs of struggling. Ryu has not.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Has Jansen gotten a single RBI this season that wasn't off a Home Run? 7HRs/12RBIs suggests it might be possible. So I guess his Dinger and 2 Dbls didn't impress the other day, lol.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 we're lucky they are swinging at bad pitches for 3rd. strike
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Why are we taxing the bullpen when we don't know what we will get from Matz tmrw? I have a feeling we might see Pearson in a high leverage spot this series.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 we're lucky they are swinging at bad pitches for 3rd. strike They were filthy change ups, not bad pitches.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Imagine if Halladay was dealing and got taken out after 6 when hes throwing a shut out, things have really changed. Montoyo manages our team like we have the Rays bullpen. You need to adjust based on what you have and our management doesn't seem too bright to figure this one out. It's why we have such a great +/- while being where we are in the standings...
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Not able to watch the game. Was Ryu hurt? He was cruisin on paper
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 we're lucky they are swinging at bad pitches for 3rd. strike Lol..... bad pitches..?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 So I guess his Dinger and 2 Dbls didn't impress the other day, lol. No I was just curious if he had any RBI base hits. That would be quite the feat if not lol

Lol exactly.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Modern day baseball bro.. I get it, just not much trust in the pen, on my end, lol.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Lol..... bad pitches..? Meaning if they didn't swing they were walks... that's all
