This is the second time this season Springer has been hurried off the IL only to tweak something within the next few games. And of course the four runs come as an indirect result of a perfectly shifted 2b whiffing a groundball and a pointless pick-off thrown into RF to get a trash-hitting speedster who was walked for no reason.

I wouldn't totally be upset either if we re signed Semien, but we'd have to overpay as we always have to in order for a big free agent to come here. I don't think he's worth what he'll get from an American team, let alone having to pay a premium for us to sign him. Semien is no way obligated to the franchise whatsoever.
