Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Apparently Cooke's FB is up to 98. And may have the arsenal to stick as a starter. Not bad.

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2021 Author Posted July 12, 2021 That concludes Day 2 of the MLB draft. 14 players remain out of the Top 78 by FanGraphs. 80 players remain out of the Top 250 by MLB.com. Will be back tomorrow with live tracking for Rounds 11-20.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Apparently Cooke's FB is up to 98. Love this pick at the end of day 2. Short track record as a starter, was really good this year and still has some upside.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Hayden Juenger Missouri StateRHP Notes: Ht: 6-0 | Wt: 180 | B-T: R-R Commit/Drafted: Never Drafted Age At Draft: 20.9 RapScore: 52 The 6-foot, 180-pound righthander was the closer for Missouri State this season, getting into 16 games, throwing 21 innings, walking six and striking out 31 batters. His fastball was 94-98 mph, to go along with an average slider and an average changeup. He gave up five of his nine earned runs in the first two weeks of the season, with a small sample of outings inflating his numbers, but he was lights out down the stretch. He showcased dominant closer stuff down the stretch, but the Jays might actually try him as a starter.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Jaden Rudd. HS. OF. 7th round pick. Two-way player in HS batting .397
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 I really like a lot of these picks. BUT with last year's short draft I guess it's expected that this one would seem deep after day 1
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 f*** - that Gare Joyce article is really good. I finished it in tears. RIP Doc. Miss you.
