This board loved the signing. I called it garbage from day 1. 1 year 12 would have been one thing, but that second year stings.

Why are people hating on Roark?

Our rotation has nobody with any track record of staying healthy. Any money not spent goes back to Rogers pocket. We’re nowhere near the team’s payroll ceiling, this doesn’t hurt our ability to sign other players. People are hating on him and I don’t get it.

 

He gives you 5-6 innings and keeps the game close. This is the market price for 1-2 WAR starting pitching. Would you rather have RA Dickey?

I wasn’t a huge fan of Roark coming back out just because hes prone fo have bad things happen quickly but Kay isn’t looking much better.
