Awesome job, loved it!!!!

1. Need more love for Noda

2. Kirk will surprise some next year continuing to destroy the baseball

3. Pearson will reach Kopech level stardom (but better) if he stays healthy

1. Disagree. Cool the jets on Noda. If he's good, it's a bonus. Plus, there will be plenty of time to move him up if his performance dictates it at the higher levels.

2. We think Kirk could be good. Personally, I want to see more from him at a higher level. Because he's so obese for an athlete, I worry that he won't hold up.

3. We're thinking/hoping for more for Pearson than Kopech. Kopech hasn't even done anything yet.

Thanks a lot for listening and sharing your thoughts.

Radio Scouts Baseball | Jays Blog & Podcast

Our top 50 #BlueJays prospects list will drop tomorrow, so get ready! We're very proud of this list and dedicated a lot of time to it as well. This system is easily one of the top 3-5 in baseball, trailing only the #Padres and #Rays for sure. Debatable if another system is ahead.

Haha...for sure. 20 seemed a little low imo for Noda. There is just something about him that I think he has that some others dont. It's never too early to start hyping up some lesser prospects lol

I think Pearson projects way better than Kopech...but he is a good comparison rankings wise imo

Yeah, nothing screams sure-fire top 30 prospect like a dude that hits GBs at a ~70% rate lol.

well he doesn't, so there's that

also he's a plus defender in centerfield. probably a better prospect than someone like say, chad spankyburger

We all feel that people are sleeping on Spanberger.

I'd love to see your list. And I don't mean that as some kind of vague threat - I genuinely mean it.

Hey now, we're all waiting on his other list first. This one can wait its turn.

this better not mean how i'm interpreting it to be

in all fairness, the GB% is yucky and very few major leaguers hit as many as he does

last year there was only 8 with a % over 60... kelby tomlinson, dawel lugo, eric hosmer, ryan flaherty, kevan smith, ian desmond, austin slater and charlie tilson

so he'll have to cut it down (he will likely not, do this) to become at least an okay hitter at the major league level

best case scenarios for prospects who hit a 60% GB rate in High A have been charlie tilson, braxton lee (70%!), ildemaro vargas, marco hernandez, travis jankowski, billy burns, luis sardinas, jace peterson, cory spankyburger, christian yelich.. and DJ Davis who is no longer playing baseball

Kinda surprised you didn't talk about the Roy Halladay Hof induction.

Otherwise it was a great podcast as always guys! Good work.

Wasn't Blue Jays related

Don’t worry, I corrected him.

If it makes it better, I had a similar experience while playing EVE online because I said Zee-lot

I wrote a blurb on Kirk and immediately felt like he was too low arterwards. His body is literally his only red flag. He looks like a very solid receiver and there isn't a single thing wrong with his offensive profile. I wish he was more on his front leg during his swing but I'm not going to fault it too much while he's putting up big results.

Keith Law had Vlad as his #2. Tatis 1

This was recorded prior to Law's list. Thought it was safe to assume he was #1 across the board but we should have counted on Law being retarded.

My scouting report memory was that Palacios is a fringe CF. The combination of groundballs, poor power, Ks trending up = turn off. I don't think you can justify him over Jonathan Davis, who we had 37th. I guess you could make a case that Davis - Palacios should both have been up near #30 but then they are up beside guys like Hector Perez and Samad Taylor and above Luciano and Sopko. So apples and oranges and potatoes. This farm is so deep.
