I really hate this team sometimes.

 

We'll have something far more exciting to cheer for in a couple's of years at most. As soon as they realise this is a collection of misfits, we can start the youth movement

History has proven that younger players always have more success when they force their way onto an established roster. Shapiro is certainly doing the right thing by maintaining a solid collection of veterans and allowing the young players to integrate at their own pace.

 

Everyone knows that this is a .500 team with playoff potential in the right year, including the front office. You constantly speak as if you know more than the team and it's really pretentious and annoying. Shapiro clearly doesn't want guys like Vlad Jr. and Bichette to join a 90 loss team. He wants them to contribute to a winner.

This is .500 team right now with the injuries and dog s*** starters. Vlad could push them into a WC spot imo.

You guys are in denial. And that's fine. I'll wait for this WC contender to show up.

 

And the difference between me and you is that you think the management group thought this team was a contender. I never did. I think they knew exactly what this team was, and it was just window dressing to try to keep assess in the seats, without upping the budget much. Attendance isn't great right now... Let's see how the summer goes. If it doesn't spike, I doubt we see this kind of roster assembled next season. They'll go younger.
