I only apologize for suggesting Morales would be an upgrade on our starters. And I believe that's not as far out of left field as it sounds...

 

This team had a great start, one of the best in it's history, and then found a cliff and seemingly walked off it.

 

Our AAA relievers cannot keep up with our starters failing to start! And I say AAA, because we keep having to call kids up to keep the relievers fresh enough to actually pitch in a game.

At this point I just hope Donaldson can get hot before the trade deadline so we can maximize the return in a trade.

Mcguire is live.. If he can show consistent location sitting at 94/95 while mixing in a sharp breaking ball, that's good enough to get you 5/6 decent innings.

week 1: Get a wildcard spot

week 3: Take the division away from the Red Sox

Last week: Finish with a +.500 record

This week: Finish ahead of the Orioles (yeah its a pride thing over a pick)

Wasn't sure if he was qualified to refuse. Shapiro has a decision to make very soon whether to go with the better performing options or continue to run Garcia out there in hopes he turns it around and becomes a trade option. I think he'll continue to get hammered, pitching in the AL East isn't like the NL.
