I was just calculating what the odds of that dude (who I have never heard of) getting a hit at 1-2 off that reliever and the odds seemed minuscule. I feel like Pillars steal attempt there had maybe a 10% (made up stat) chance of working, but surely more then the other guy getting a hit or even getting on.

Betances is just so hard to get hits off. If you have speed and get on base you have to be aggressive. You’re just so unlikely to string hits together so you have to go outside the box.
