It's only 2 games in, so I'm not gonna panic but I'm definitely missing the bats of Encarnacion and Bautista. I realize Bautista's pretty much finished now, but it would have been nice if they brought in a big bat to replace him.

Not sure what people expected TBH...Smoak repeating last year is a stretch, Donaldson cannot carry the team alone. EE and Bats big bats being gone and not really replaced is looming large. Maybe if we never had Tulo's dead weight we could have got another big bat.

Yeah... I mean, I see it for what it is. They're clearly treading water and waiting for some of the younger kids to come up. They're giving the old guys a chance to see if there's any more gas left in the tank, but they're not committed to making a push. I think it's the sensible approach, because there's too many ready young pieces in their prime to do a traditional tear down.

Jays get themselves out. Severino with two pitches was good but Tanaka was hittable; however, the same old over swing with eyes shut.

Gibbons was just trying to gain his respect by letting him finish the inning. To his credit, one wouldn't consider Wade much of a threat, but I certainly would've gave him the hook. He hasn't pitched in quite some time, why push your luck?

Lots of empty seats for a Yankees series. Also, why is our offence the same in terms of approach? Big swing, swing, etc. Tanaka was over the plate but Martin and others, in replay slo mo, have eyes shut and monster swings. They are horrible on off speed
