Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 He's a bit like Bautista that way. Negative feelings seem to motivate them. It might be annoying but it's hard to complain too much when it's working. I get that...but it seems like he's trying to stir up the negative feelings himself. Seems like he's just looking for controversy sometimes.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted December 11, 2017 Author Posted December 11, 2017 Call me crazy but I prefer not to be utterly embarrassed by the behavior of players on the team I love. Whether he likes it or not, when he's in the public sphere, and that includes social media, he represents the Toronto Blue Jays, so he should stop being such a little bitch and man up.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Oh he totally is doing that. It's just not that big of a deal from a Blue Jays perspective. Maybe not. But that sort of behaviour does warrant the terrific douchebag moniker...and that's really the point I'm trying to make. I love him on the mound...but behind a keyboard...not so much.
polar bear Verified Member Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I love wee Stro, and I love his attitude.👍
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 #betweenthelines #cucks #whogivesaratsass Oh Spanky, you should be above using the word "cuck", even sarcastically!

TheHurl Site Manager Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 This is the only issue I have with it all. Guys in the clubhouse may not have an issue with his tweets, with his emotions showing on field. We have no clue. Emotional men are a little foreign to me, But in no way is it a reason to hate someone. It's not like he's a thug and acting the part. He's being his real personality and he happens to love social media (and needs it to promote his brand). I am going full Team Stro here...may even become an official HDMH merchandiser.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Hah... Imagine if Dave Stieb or George Bell had twitter in their day, everyone would cry a river.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 He is pretty annoying, but guys hes only 26 his excitement and competitive nature is inherently good in this sport that is usually condemned from showing emotion (although thats changing).
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Holy s***, Manziel... I haven't thought about him since I added him to my Celebrity Death Pool. Is he still alive? Him and Stroman are friends too!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 The one plus is that Stroman is at least good, so I don't care if he acts like an entitled jerk or douchebag on Twitter. JPA on the other hand sucked and still was a douchebag on Twitter, which was far worse.

I'm good at the sports so I can be a cock knocker and people will love me for it, but if I start to suck at the sports then I'll be called out on my dum dum behavior. God bless the double standard."
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I'm betting you're under 25.

I bet you love the Yankees facial hair policy too eh? I mean what is with people and those stupid beards! They look ridiculous and embarrass the company.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I kind of like when hes an ******* on the mound. I can do without the annoying s*** he says on twitter. But I'm perfectly fine ignoring it. As long as he pitches well and wants to keep doing that in Toronto I'm happy with him.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I'm betting you're under 25. How much would you like to bet?

FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 He's a good pitcher with an idiot mouth. Think Brett Lawrie with higher upside.

In baseball terms, imagine he was never a Blue Jay and you saw him in Minnesota for example. You would then agree that he is a douche nozzle who has accomplished nada in the big leagues yet. Even Happ was a runner up to the Cy Young award winner and Estrada has some stats.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 There no doubt he is an obnoxious guy but I dont know, I cant really crap all over him like many have the past month. Maybe its cause i love the passion he has when he pitches and embraces the city/team ive learned to deal with his bs.

They look ridiculous and embarrass the company. Because growing facial hair is the same as hopping up and down on the mound, screaming at your opponents after every out, making a fool of yourself on Twitter and playing the victim in literally every scenario he's in. Be careful building arguments out of straw, they're highly flammable.
