Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Would like to see them trade Aoki and move Zeke so we can have a couple of young outfielders get an opportunity in September.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I don't care about the homer, Tim Mayza is so good. His stuff is legit.

By "move Zeke", I assume you mean trade him? It's a sad statement of the current state of the Jays that he leads all their current OFers with a 123 wRC+ on the season. By month his wRC+ is : 96, 91, 140, 187, 165, respectively. Too bad he isn't a better defender. One thing for sure is last seasons splits were an anomaly: his wRC+ is 16 versus leftys and 137 versus rightys this season (only 32 PA versus leftys).

Re: Aoki....The two players they picked up at the deadline and in August are both arb eligible in 2018 (Aoki, Koehler) and both were picked up when having down seasons. I mean, maybe they are buying low on them, but spending over $10mm on those two next year can't possibly be in their plans, can it?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I'm refusing to take today's loss on my GDT record Nah... I think series threads are the right call, moving forward. We can just update line-ups prior to the games.
