BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Missed opportunity to move 3 up and really put the O's behind, oh well get them tomorrow. Was watching highlights this am and thinking same. But then I thought BoSox fans must be thinking they lost an opp to move up to only 1 game behind us blowing a 3-1 lead at home to the last place team in the Div. That made me feel better lol. Just win the series today. Gallardo has had our # too, but we finally touched him up some last time.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Saunders career OBP .295 vs LHP Barney career OBP .328 vs LHP Meh I think it's more about... Britton's career OBP vs LHH .285 Britton's career OBP vs RHH .318 To be honest, frankly I don't have a strong opinion about the move. It was perfectly defensible (and worked out) but I think running with Saunders (who is a better hitter overall and was having a good game) would have been perfectly defensible too.

I'm not really upset or anything. We just don't PH for Saunders very often, especially with Darwin Barney, and he has a nagging injury. I thought Gibby may have been asked about it in his post game presser.

It would have been a legitimate question to ask. I'm not sure if they did.
