Not being able to adjust against these types is an issue.

 

When the entire talented group struggle simultaneously and consistently versus these types of pitchers when the majority of other teams don't, therein lies an approach issue. Luckily, it seems Atkins/Shapiro aren't against replacing anyone, regardless of past/current success, if the "fit" isn't there. A new hitting coach next season would be glorious.

I don't think Jacoby is happy with what is going on, because he himself was good at hitting these types by using the whole field with a good approach. I just think he's getting tired of his job and has lost the desire to preach to established hitters.
