IOC approves baseball as sport for Olympics beginning in 2020

Going to be honest -- I don't have any desire to watch two or three national super teams destroy their competition. Major League Baseball is so much more interesting, fun, and competitive than anything the Olympics could produce. Maybe if there were more parity, as in soccer or even hockey, but baseball doesn't have nearly the global representation of those sports.

Anyone who is against the owners for not wanting their superstar players, some on huge ass contracts to play in the olympics is a moron.

 

Let the amateur kids go. No one really cares about the olympics anyway.

Not going to have MLB players, it's in the middle of the season and unless we want to get into November baseball it doesn't make sense. It will be a fine showcase for minor league players though and a good way to grow the game in varying countries.
