RHP Chris Rowley (L, 7-2) allowed a pair of runs in four of the six inning in which he pitched, totaling eight earned on 13 hits. A two-run home run by SS Cole Tucker in the first put Bradenton on top early. In the fifth, 2B Pablo Reyes ripped a double down the left field line just past third base, plating two, and re-gaining the lead for Bradenton. The Marauders added two more insurance runs in the sixth, giving them a, 8-2 lead. The Jays brought the tying run to the plate in the eighth inning, but 2B Andy Fermin popped out on the first pitch he saw to short, ending the threat. RHP Austin Coley (W, 10-7) settled in during his start after a rocky first inning to pick up his FSL-leading tenth win of the year. He has factored in the decision in all 17 of his starts this year. RHP Luis Heredia (S, 10) notched the save in the ninth. Game two is at 6:30 PM on Thursday night.
