*shrug* actually, my area is remarkably nice, I mean there's the obvious drug dealer house two doors down (unless he's a gigolo who works REALLY quickly and frequently), but it's a quiet area. Bought the place for like 1/4 what a house like this would have cost me in/around Toronto, and I can actually bike to my work. Honestly, it's SOUTH Oshawa that you're thinking of when you think of notoriously terrible places. Looked at some stuff down there when I was in the market and *shudder*.

Stro was dominant really. The dodgers were totally incompetent. Runners on second and third 1 inning no out, zero runs. Next inning bases loaded no out, 3 straight strikeouts. Orioles lucky as f***.

Certainly some nicer areas in Oshawa. South Oshawa f***ing sucks. I tend to stay near the north end. If I need to go there that's what I prefer. I don't think I have been to the Oshswa Centre since I was in 8th grade.

 

I use to bus it to Oshawa Centre from the college. Got on the wrong bus transfer once and was in crack town, never made that mistake again.

Lol did almost the exact same thing. Remember trying to get to the college when I was downtown on Simcoe and took the wrong bus, ended up in South Oshawa by the lake. All I remember is 2 guys hoping on the bus, one was drinking out of a brown LCBO bag, the other a Listerine bottle.

I'll give you credit here, you sucked me in, hook line and sinker... had my cheeks red and it wasn't from drinks. My place is quiet and rural, if anything, you get the odd teenagers drinking in the creek behind our house. Yet, that's done, as the Beetle epidemic had all the trees cut down.

Pretty dirty but tbh I've seen much worse in the US. When I went to Yankee Stadium we stayed in the Bronx and the cab ride over was pretty eye opening.

 

Even my softball games in Etobicoke are in a s***** area that is just like Oshawa.

I once saw 2 people doing it on a log when I was walking to my friends house. A lot of the same scuzzy s*** goes on here. Smaller scale but Oshawa travels. I actually think the women in Whitby are definitely on Oshawa level as well. Atleast in my experience. I went out with a few waitresses I worked with in Whitby before. Was amazed at what I discovered.

There's a really nice ballpark here in Oshawa, but they have recently lost there Indy team, it'll turn to s*** now. Caught my buddies play a bit with my pops, they raked that League. They were playing with the Leafs with Spoljaric and Quantrill.

It's true in all our small towns, even Aurora... my ex-bosses son lives there, he says the drug scene is out of control. I also saw a piece from the OPP saying guys from the T-Dot thrive on small town boredom, it seems to be out of control.

I was absolutely blown away at how terrible this place was. And she talked like I absolutely couldn't miss out. I just coldn't look at her the same again. That and her facebook pictures.
