el duque Verified Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Just turned on TV and Estrada is dominating the Yankees
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Seriously Estrada is done Gibbons. Hes litterally willing his way through this inning.
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 A 3 run dinger here would be icing on the cake.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 f*** it keep him in Oh s*** Ellsebury in?? Er maybe we should use our loogy lol
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Oh s*** Ellsebury in?? Er maybe we should use our loogy lol No need!!!! What an outing!!!
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Gibby always leaves the starter in too long
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Gibbons is an idiot. Estrada gives us everything he has again. We're going to have to trade him because no way he stays healthy the way Gibbons drains him every start.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Love Estrada though this guy just gets the most of his ability.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Marco Estrada us going to earn the entire $26M of his contract this year. What a stud.

There's pitchers like Kershaw throwing 120+ some starts. 100 is the norm

fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Pretty much my favourite Blue Jay at this point. Osuna "Mariano Jr" Matata?!?!???!??
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Gibby has no clue or feel when a good time is to help build a player's foundation who is struggling, but can be better. Tonight bunting with Goins vs a RHP, even though he was up 2-1 is another example. Reward him for his success tonight by letting him swing away, if he fails, he still had a great night and Pillar is still in scoring position regardless. If he succeeds, then his confidence takes a giant leap forward. He did it the other night with Storen. We were up 8-4 with one runner on and one out in the ninth inning, a perfect spot for Storen, instead he uses Osuna. Storen has been pitching better lately and that situation would have been a perfect opportunity for Storen to close out the game, walk down off the mound and shake the pitcher's hand. If he allowed two batters to reach, then pull him for Osuna.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Pretty much my favourite Blue Jay at this point. He's right up there for me. He looks like he's going to hit 200+ innings of sub-3.5 ERA ball, and the way he does it is fun to watch. I also love those tidy little FA contracts that work out beautifully.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 f***ing Estrada! Beauty! Just what the doctor ordered.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 The chances of him K'ing are pretty good too. 10-92 ain't a joke So what? We're up by four in the seventh with a runner already in scoring position. You guys make me laugh always raving on how bunting is dumb, but you'll make an exemption in this case. Mind f***ing boggling.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Goins is 2-2 with a double and a HR and is a LHB with a 2-1 count, but Gibby would rather give away an out in the bottom of the seventh up by four. The chances that Goins would at least pull the ball to the right side was pretty good, so i just don't get it. If he was a better hitter than maybe. But he isn't a good enough hitter to roll the dice on that. Up 4 in the 7th and Bautista and Donaldson up next is a perfect time to bunt him over, especially after Goins was allowed to swing away and missed a center cut fastball

Estrada and Happ are going to be great value for their contract. RA is going to get paid exactly what he's worth too, and both Stroman and Sanchez are making league minimum. We might have one of the more valuable rotations in the league
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Osuna "Mariano Jr" Matata?!?!???!?? What about him? Just because he's good doesn't mean he's my favourite. Some players you just like more than others for whatever reason. Some people even like Goins.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Kershaw has the most shutouts in baseball, it is very rare these days of 100 pitches that managers leave their starters to complete a shutout Much much easier to do it in the NL though.

There's pitchers like Kershaw throwing 120+ some starts. 100 is the norm He's going to throw the most innings he ever has 2 straight years at age 32. Usually not a recipe for success. He will be valuable trade chip if we fall out of contention. Or he will continue to perform well for us. His contract is very nice value.
